View Full Version : Of Chuck Norris and things Legion

ok, my honey plays WoW, and he's constantly hollering out at me, "Only Chuck Norris can ____________." ....or.... "Chuck Norris is so tough, he ____________." filling in the blank with some clever witicism that one of them have come up with. Just reading through Eldun's thread on the forums (and the great monstrosity of a thread 23 pages long announcing the shroud down) I figure it's time to apply some of that Chuckety goodness in a different arena... with a twist. Feel free to add to this.

(Only Chuck Norris can prevent forest fires.)

Only Legion can start flame wars.

:D

I suppose I should put this in before someone gets a wild hair and takes this the wrong way.
This was a joke. A funny. Something intended to improve face value- ie: to generate a smile.
Anyone that thinks I have any problem with Legion needs to check their baggage at the door.

When the going gets tough, Legion gets going.

Though they bind us with chains and irons, we cannot be held. We cannot be subdued! We are called Legion, for we are many!

They came up with the rules for "Zerg".
They have manipulated and defined all that is Zerg!
They are the MASTERS OF THE ZERGUverse!

It's all in good fun it seems :)

Not feeling creative so here are more Norris adaptions:

- Beneath the beard of a Legion member there is no chin, only another fist!

- When a Legion member is born only the doctor cried, no one slaps a Legion member!

So, I'm running with DWAT, who I really enjoy running with because their leader and I exchange barbs like babies exchange cooties and one day he has a new bio... something along the lines of...

"To scare their children to sleep, DWAT mothers tell stories of how Ministry abuses the other members of Legion when they are misbehaved, so if you don't go to sleep, he will visit you. Now Ministry denies this and says they have him confused with Renegade, but we are not sure about this."

Trust me, it's Ren. Ren is the bad man that the other bad men hide from.

Or is that Drak?

Or Fully?

Hmm...

And if you think the guys are bad, you should see us run when Dreamer or Lostinjapan or Quarry get pissed.

Those gals scare me.

I'm with Trissa on this one. :)

Don't get me wrong - I love Andrew Eldritch as much as the next man - but there's a lot of bands with more claim to be old-line Goth.

My wife was lived in London for a semester in 1990. Jealous of that.. Goth and industrial acts at the Camden Palace! All I had back then was weekend drives down to Ybor.. and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult at the Masquerade..

ahhhh London.....the good times I had at the Bat Cave and Hellfire.......yes that was the highlight of my romping period there....much better than New York City goth scene hands down

Thrill Kill Kult...got a bit too ravy for me only really liked a few of their songs like this one and after the flesh, but they can put on a helluva fetish ball let me tell you!

No worries!

Love that Die Form song.

For a while after I moved to St. Petersburg St. Pete and Tampa were getting a lot of cool acts through.. there is still an active Goth scene here, and even a local radio show (Dark Horizons). We even got made fun of on SNL.

Saw a number of old-line & newer acts come through.. Christian Death, Eva O, Big Electric Cat, Switchblade Symphony... Cruxshadows.. whatever you call them (my wife calls their singer Pineapple Head).

A lot of the stuff coming out now just isn't very good.. seems like what I hear that I like is only coming from Europe.. I pick stuff up speculatively last now like Umbra et Imago, but I'm not hooked into what's current very much any more.

Very sweet, but thick skin is a requirement for admittance to Legion. If one of us is going to get butt-hurt because of a jab and certainly a jab made in jest then Legion may not be the right home for them.

In short, have fun with it. Don't worry about crossing a line. Feel free to talk about my Mom or whatever (e.g. Legion is so tough that one look at Ren's Mom will turn Medusa to stone.). We know that it's all in fun and if not all the better as we'll have some real interesting banter back and forth to speed the workday along.

Run House T how you want, but the reason I follow these boards is because we can feel free to speak our minds without the DDO Forum Nazis censoring our thoughts, jokes and good times.

And as you all know, a thread will have to be closed, locked and thrown away before Legion will stop attacking those who attack for no reason.

We love a good fight.

The best part is all the people out here that know we do all we do in fun and no matter what is said about us, when the game is on, we are damn good at what we do and good to those that team with us (for the most part... ;) ) and really... that's what matters.

That was...is...me. Walk to the beat of my own drum. :D Actually had some people in high school ask me what 'group' I belonged to because they couldn't figure me out. :srofl: Maybe that's because I listen to all kinds of music, wear what I want to wear and am friends with who I want to be friends with and have never EVER let so-called 'style' have any impact on who those friends will be or what decisions I make in my life.

Always remember, what is in style NOW, even if it doesn't seem stupid NOW, will most certainly look idiotic 10-20 years from now. ;)

Feel free to talk about my Mom or whatever (e.g. Legion is so tough that one look at Ren's Mom will turn Medusa to stone.).

Yeah we ALL talk about Ren's mom. Under a minute. :p

We love a good fight.

Hell yes Mini.

Unfortunately for us, instead of getting good fights on the DDO forums we get censored, moderated and banned...and the asswipes who start the entire mess usually get nothing or a slight slap on the wrist. C'est la vie.

I lost any respect I had for the DDO forumnazis the day I got smacked for saying I hate stealth edits. Talk about kneejerk overreaction. This is why I post here. We can joke (even crudely at times), speak our opinions and as long as we keep it civil there is nothing moderated.
