Some talk was bandied about near the end of summer about a HouseT get together at GenCon. I'm planning on going again in 2009, was wondering if anyone else was still thinking about it.

I would be up for trying to put something together if enough people had an interest in attending - this would be outside of anything that Turbine might do ("enough" for me would be like say 10 or 12 including guests).

Important Information:

Dates:
GenCon = August 13 - August 16
Registration for GenCon = February 1
Registration for hotel thru Gencon (couple of days later)

I'm seeing hotels near the actual convention center (may be linked by skywalks) going for $150 and upwards a night. The advantage to this - no car needed. I didn't have any need for one when I went - everything was within walking distance.

I still plan to go, provided the current buckling economy doesn't eat a hole in my wallet. Thanks for the info, though, Jules...never been to a GenCon, so this should be interesting. :)

I'd sure consider going, depending on finances after the divorce and the housing market. :)

Unfortunately I'm going to be flying again this year - it would add about 2 days to drive there. I wouldn't mind a room-mate if you can find a way there :)

where is it being held?

Same place it was last year Indianapolis, IN

To save on expenses this would be the perfect place to see if someone wants to share a room with someone - I will gladly share with another female - sorry guys :).

Once again...

Unless it happens to fall during a trip of mine to the US, I will not be going.

Aw... :)

I won't be attending Gen Con though. Not really going to have the money for it. Maybe the year after.

If I am able to attend, I would share a room with someone...a guy or select ladies. (oh, like you didn't already knw I was gonna say that!) :)

Hmm, I think the family would enjoy this. Perhaps I'll be there...

It would require tickets to the states. Let me get back after taxes.

unfortunately I already attend 3 other conventions a year so I probably wont make it, though sometime I would like to go to at least one Gencon...
