View Full Version : Sorjek Beater Question

Hey all,

I'm looking to make two Sorjek beaters for Shyv and wanted to get some input.

First off they are going to be greensteel light maces (finessable) and bludgeoning gets by his DR. So the question is which should I go with:

Holy/Good Burst/Good Blast

or

Flaming/Flaming Burst/Flaming Blast

The question is even though the holy does an extra 1d6, the tier 3 effect of Greater Disruption just sucks. Where as the fire based one does 1d6 less per hit, but the tier 3 effect is the occasional massive fire damage.

Thoughts?

Have you considered acid/acid/acid? Sure, the earthgrab is useless against him, but it totally rocks against normal mobs.

It was a consideration, but I use a Bodyfeeder rapier of puncturing and a w/p shortsword against trash and dual lightning 2's vs. red/purple names. Really looking for something to use against Sor'jek, Hound, and Abbot (yeah right).

what about putting that transmuting on something, that way you wont be restricted solely to a light mace

It's a matter of not wanting to use 48 larges on two weapons that will get used only on rare occasions. Would rather only use 12 for the set, so though mineral II would work great, it's a larger investment in larges than I want to make at the moment.

I would love to make a triple water, but I'm pretty sure he's immune to cold damage. Can anyone confirm that for me?

Confirmed. Immunity to Cold and Electric.
