Anyone else heard about the bee cookies doing interesting things to the abbot?

Hmm, might be because they go around any DR or whatever the Abbot has. So, you can land one on him, and he just keels over.

Logically speaking they would shut down all of his spellcasting for the duration if they work on him the way they work on us. No spells, no inferno, no encasement.
Just a thought.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that little aspect. Now that would be nice.

I stand by my previous assertions that mobs do not make concentration checks, just liek they do not run out of sp, they do not have cool-down timers, and they cast everything instantly

You are likely on this particular point Tomine, BUT Bees does not allow a concentration check. It shuts off casting entirely. Period.
Poof.
Otherwise just about any cleric could turn on quicken(it has an off switch?) and heal themselves through the bees. Bees just says NO to casting. That is where it may hit the abbot.

Hmm. I have one character flagged for the Abbot; I'd certainly be willing to come and see. :)

Well I was actually reading that thread and now Im slightly confused, has anyone actually tried using them on the Abbot? The thread mentions using them on Harry, but I've actually done that before and they did nothing to him

Why is it, if this does work, I have a feeling that Trubine is going to call it an exploit and nerf the crap out of it. (aka kill the effect)

Just a guess here, but given that Harry and the Hound would have shared develepment time, I am not suprised its effect on him would be minimal. The abbot on the other hand is MUCH earlier and has not likely had his DEVSHIELD upgraded.

iirc from using it on Harry, he actually gets a save vs the effect which negates it entirely if when he passed. My experiments on him were minimal at best, but I'm fairly sure I did it at least twice
I wonder what would happen if you used one on the beholder in ghosts...

Chollthulz has a low reflex save so at least it would be easy to land one and see.

it doesnt work on xantilar in stormcleave so the earlier development idea is out. my guess is red or purple names are not affected.
