Fireplace failed last night

And we almost lost the house. We were having dinner and smoke began pooring out of the woodwork above the fireplace. A couple hours later the firemen had put it out but now we have a brand new living room. With walkin garage! We are all ok and step pops is talkin to insurance co this morning.

Chimney fires suck.. we almost lost our house growing up to one -- after that, my dad was out on the roof every fall to knock the crud out of the chimney before we started using it.
