Welp, all of the GSI'ers probably have seen this coming from a mile away; its really about time Aexicas got a good ole upgrade, especially after how terribly i made him in the first place, lol.

So, ive been toying with an assassin, rogue monk build, this is what ive come up with:

Tell me what you think. This build is designed to fit my decently conservative playstyle, while still taking full advantage of monk traits like wind stance. It will probably take its sweet time coming into its own, but it should end up being rather worth it, i think.

Anyway, opinions? Suggestions? And i swear to god, if one of you mentions the gimp con....=P *prepares for the con comments!*

Looks interesting, I like it alot, nice way to blend the traits of both. A question I have - aside from trap monkey, what other role do you forsee for yourself in the party? With 128 HP I'm assuming not main tank :) Scouting ahead, sneak attacks - waiting for main tanks to grab aggro?

If you go with 12R/4M, you can pick up WoTA II..

Also, why Faithful Hound - Do you think you're going to have trouble hitting things? Patient Tortoise would give you 10 extra HP (to help offset your GIMP CON :D) and Clever Monkey would give you Energy Resistance and better trap saves.

Well, with what i have planned, ill have roughly 228 HP or so (on par with my other rogues, more or less, lol). That being said, im mainly going to be a sneak attack, tumble away sort of rogue, along with traps, decent UMD, and the like.

Oh yeah, and i should have around a 45 AC while TWF if im at least decently buffed, but thats at 16th, so itll be a bit before then.

Yeah, i was thinking going 12/4, but, i thought i'd like the 2nd "way of animal" and wind stance 2 a bit more than death attack, as scary as that sounds. Death attack seems nice, but a faster flurry of SA's seem nicer since i play with you crazy folks; afterall, how often really would i get to drop into stealth to make that death attack before someone like you or pane or jun come and merc what im trying to kill? :D

Anyway, i picked faithful hound mainly because it was a good way to compliment Sneak Attack accuracy and the like. Truth be told I -probably- should have any trouble hitting, now that i think about it (not sneak attacking, im looking at a BAB of 13 while centered), i should have a total of (at 16 with a +1 kama as most of mine are) +22 or so to hit, not flanking

I dunno, should be good. Ill look at tortoise again; that probably would be better overall for the build, thinking about it. And then i dont have to wear the minos legens, and i can keep with the Aexicas Brand™ masks! yay!!

yeah, the HP part was my concern as well. With only 128 that it shows there youll die in 2 hits in most 10th level quests (I know this from experience) but if you can get 228 youll be a bit better off. 45 AC isnt what it used to be, Anzan in the desert has 45 AC and those friggin scorpions cant miss me even when Im using a weakning weapon on them; so my advice is to really practice your tumbling early on so you know how to get out of situations quickly

Actually, he's probably looking at around 220 or so after Con and False Life items (a bit more if he tosses in a shroud HP item and/or Minos Legens) .. between Improved Evasion and a conservative play style, he might be ok with just 220 and an AC of 45 or so..

also - the planner isn't showing your lvl15 feat, Aex..

If you take CE there (or instead of Deflect Arrows as the l6 monk feat), you can jump your buffed AC to 50 - which is much more effective than a 45.

Studies have shown that the breaking point for useful AC in the Vale quests is around 50 (shroud is a different story - AC 58 gets hit on an 8 or higher confirmed by either DG or Eladrin)

hm...i might have missed it in the character gen. Well, i wont have the 11 BAB needed for greater twf, so, ill probably take CE then, in that case. Unless something else jumps at me and deflect arrows just doesnt seem like itd help (idk, i havent really played with def arrows too much yet), ill take CE at 15 then
