Ok, I have no clue how to actually make forums style. I took a look at the style settings, and it all just wooshed over my head. So, if anyone has extensive experience with this stuff, please let Jules and I know.
Otherwise, there is always going and seeing what styles people have created over at the vBulletin site.

I second this - I don't mind using what someone else has done - and I'm sure I will fumble it out eventually - but would really like someone in house to help out with it.

Hmm... I wouldn't say I have "extensive" experience with vBulletin in particular, at least in the style development area, but I have designed forum layouts in a few of the other less popular forum software systems out there. That said I'm currently admin'ing 4 sites (including Mror's guild site), only 1 or 2 of which are vBulletin, so if I were to help out, I doubt I could promise immediate results, but I'd test some things out (I'd leave the default alone until I'm sure that my "tests" were working fine) and try to get something nice together in a timely fashion.
When I do forum style designs, I do take requests (color schemes, certain background/header pics - I've since "misplaced" my copy of PhotoShop so I'd tend to shy away from heavy pic editing :o - etc.) until the forum as a whole gets a nice style or three they can live with and agree on.
All of that said, in my past dealings with vBulletin, they are horrendously notorious for having iron-fisted control over any and all help resources out there. Any useful information on their site and/or forums is generally only accessible by the person who actually owns the vB license. I remember on a site I admin I was trying to get some code added into the forums for something, but I couldn't actually get the code, because the vB forum admins hid it from anyone who wasn't registered to the site with the vB license for the site they admin .
Edit: Ok, now I feel stupid, I just stumbled across the freaky green forum you've been using in the mean time and that Jules bought the license with donations. Silly me had made the assumption that you were operating under Whysper's license or somethin. Anyways, if ya can't seem to put something together, and can't find something ya like in vB's resources out there, I'd still be willing to try my hand at it. Give me a couple colors you'd like to see, access, and about a week, and I'll give ya a forum so colorful that it makes you motion sick :p.
PS: WOOT House T lives again!

I can include 3 additional e-mail addresses for others to be able to access the vbullentin forums where you can get the coding for style type help and stuff as well as downloading and uploading new styles and design options for our forum.
If you are volunteering for this, please send me a pm with your e-mail address and I can add you to the list.
Thanks,
Jules

Someone else is going to have to volunteer for this - I've just spent the last 3 hrs getting no where - as soon as I click on something on their forums it prompts me to log in again - or if I can actually see a sample of the skin its garbage or a paid skin - GRRRR
Put a fork in me - I'm done

Maybe I can bug Whisper some more (or talk to Elora) to get our old forum styles back.
Though there has to be someone frequenting House T that does web design.
Btw, Chumley says he might be able to lend a hand.

Odd...
Anyways I'll send ya a pm Jules, I'ma codewhore :D.

Yes that was me playing with coding. I was trying a couple of redirect options and the first one didn't work so well :( But if you now go to www.housetharashk.net you will be directed here after about 5 seconds :)

I'm guessing a immediate redirect didn't work too well.

You all saw the results of adding an htaccess redirect - which is the easy way of doing it. So I changed it to the delayed one instead. If someone wants to try making the landing page prettier or can suggest a different way of immediate redirect - be my guest - again I can email you the login information for the ftp site. (this is why I didn't want to try changing it last night err early this morning) ;)

The default at whispers other site kinda resembles the darker of the old housetharashk themes.

I am useless with regard to the coding, but I did love the old Changeling skin.
I HATED the Parchment.
I personally prefer the darker skins.

this Coldstone skin is kinda nice, not quite as MS-word white as the default

So...bad for me that the DDO servers are having maintenance just when I have time to play :boohoo:.
Good for you all in that now I have all this free time in which to make some good graphics and styles and play around with plugins.
Bad in that I think you are all asleep and since I never got one of these (I think? horrible memory here and not in my PM box) sent in to Julez I can't update the forums to 3.7.2 or access the official vbulletin.org forums (at least not to download).
:hm:
Guess I'll just play around with graphics.
