Scheduled lowbie night

Hi All,

I just wanted to float the idea of having a server based lowbie night.

I used to run one some time ago that was guild based, but was wondering if there might be more demand.

All it would require is one night a week (I am thinking monday or tuesday) where people commited to running with their lowbies. Classed as 2-7ish by my standards.

We all know what a pain it can be and I think most people reading these forums are either experienced, or players who have an idea of what they are doing.

I'm not really sure how to proceed, so there, the idea is "floating"

I like it. I have guild commitments on Sunday and Tuesday so Monday will work well for me.

Sunday is guild favor night and Tuesday we have an all wf running party as well.

Hey! does lowbies every Tuesday night - we define them as levels 1-9 at the moment. If you see Pantalaimon or Pandaros on, that's mini-me.

Great idea. I would suggest maybe we could setup a couple nights. Say a lowbie HouseT guild 2-7 one night, a midbie 8-11 another night. I've found as much of a pain 2-7 is, 8-11 (like puberty) is the real drag because you can't run with capped characters (for xp) until you hit 12.

So like, House T Erben Acheivers (2-7) on Monday night.
House T Glee Club (8-11) on Wednesday night.

Any direction, I'm interested. I've got a stable of lowbies thirsting for some xp.

Hey, even 11 up to 13 is a bit PITA now... I'm always up for lowbie running though.... Sadly, these are the quests I know much better...

Yeah, you really can't even run with capped characters till you hit 13 or so. I don't really have any 2-7 characters left I feel like playing anymore. Lynton is 10th. Evrick is 9th. Solreyl is 7th.

That being said though. I do have a doupleganger rogue in reserve at 3rd, and a cleric at 4th. So, if you're really desperate, look me up. :)

Tricks for escaping the Mid-Level Blues

1) Know which quests to grind the xp out of and which ones to leave alone.
2) Run with friends and guildies where ever possible.
3) Once you hit level 8 have a caster friend level 15 and under(pretty much anyone with firewall or blade barrier) help yah grind the XP out of the desert.
4) Once you hit level 10 repeat above with the orchard. There is a truly disgusting amount of XP that is available out there. This thread (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=114383) outlines it. Suffice it to say that running the orchard till you puke is worth 200,391 xp. IMO that certainly takes the blues out of the mid levels. Heck I pretty much soloed Jaerle from level 10-12 in the orchard, just grinding slayers in the mornings before work.
5) Gianthold quests on normal are solild xp/time quests. The loot does not suck(majors mana pots almost every time) and you get relics for the inevitable reaver flagging. GH explorer and slayer is a nice bonus.

Just my opinions. Mileage will very but I have beat those horses listed above for everything that they are worth.

I do tend to solo a lot of stuff at the lowbie levels, especially the encounter areas which are great for burning 30 minutes to an hour before work in the morning.

I do try to be semi-conscious of favor - take care of it while it is still worth XP... except maybe stealthy repossesion ;)

Honestly favor is becoming less and less relevant until the new rewards are announced. With +3 tomes in the reaver, +2 tomes from vale quests, the need to reach 1750 is much less IMO.

That being said all of my capped toons but my sorc have hit it.

The favor chase can be fun with a group, but beyond that I prefer just to chase the level.

i like to get my 150 coin lord by lvl4 or 5 .. the extra pack space is just too good to pass up.

I like to start the Kundarak upgrades by around lvl10 (although neither lindsay or 84 have a second bank slot yet)

A single run through TR can usually get you 75 House P favor -- and completing it on Elite will get you just about to the Pendant of Time level ..

beyond that, unless there's a real need (like Lindsay and her bolts), I take the favor as it comes.

Lol - I guess I just don't farm enough, but I have yet to EVER get a +2 tome (much less +3) from anything other than my 1750 favor.

I have several lowbies, 2 of which I am trying to level quickly. Any assistance would be appreciated and returned in kind.

Butterscotch - 5 Cleric/2 Fighter/2 Rogue (not so much a healer as a self-buffing tank with rogue skills...she has a whopping 400 spell points and 0 DVs).
Leloominai - 6 Cleric/1 Sorcerer (750 spell points and 12 DVs...sure you can see where this one is headed)

Hey all... I'm in for that lvls 8-13 grp. I have a WF Barb mutt build (Boozn) I'm trying to lvl. Currently at 10 and going nowhere fast :( Keep me in Mind.

I do a lowbies night every Tuesday.. I'm usually on 9:30-midnight EST. In theory Levels 1-9, etc etc.

(I've been promoting a userchannel ("Tinies") for it, but nobody has joined it yet)

Our Tiny activity last night was VoN 1 through 3.. thanks to the folks who came along (you did all the heavy lifting!) . I wasn't even the main healer, but I had the Int for the runes in three and did a couple traps so I was at least sometimes useful. :)

Ugggh. I understand that feeling. Been there in the past.(Used to log in about 1am or so) It pretty much meant that I could either run WW, TR or SC with lowbies in pugs, or loot POP for the 1 billionth time with a capped character. Not one of my happier times as a player.

I usually use the time to solo a slayer zone or something. Though it is also the reason I am an altaholic, lowbies are much easier to find during my weeknight playtimes.

Yah my addiction to soloing the slayer zones began on that schedule. I would wait for something interesting to pop up in the LFMs whilst still slaying.(and looting)
