A friend sent me this link, and I have to say I got a bit walled up, probably the music, I'm a sap for emotional videos combined with emotional music. :nopity:

Strange, but when the lion came running over to them I kept expecting something to go horribly wrong. :sifone:

Yeah, friend or no, when a large male lion runs at me... I'm not thinking, "Aww he wants a hug".

BTW, I hate that freakin song. :ack2:

Oh you guys! That music fit the video, let yourself get lost in the moment. Did none of you ever have a cat or a dog?

BTW...read some of the comments. Some are touching, others? Well, I'll let you decide which one made me burst out laughing.

I was trying to find a different video of the same thing and happened upon this one. In the one I saw on TV a few years back, the dog was in a LOT more trouble.

I have had dogs. All the dogs I've had loved me. Only one was large enough to reach my neck with her teeth. None of those teeth were as as big as the Lions' teeth (or claws). I just kept waiting for When Animals Attack to show up, and tell us what NOT to do around lions. I'm such a pessimist.:weirdo:

It is pretty amazing that they didn't get mauled. Even more amazing that a wild lioness they never met didn't maul them either. I think it just goes to show that "animals" are more "human" than a lot of people believe.

I don't think I would insult the lion like that. :lolhit:

Actually, I think the lack of aggressive behaviour (although that was some pretty aggressive affection!) is due more to the fact that the humans did not display prey behaviour. They acted like pride.

I was totally expecting to hit a link to Rusty (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zVCYdrw-1o) or the Wooden Leg Goats (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGz97dxGHV8&feature=related).

Haha, good point.

Yeah, if they had run when the lion charged at them, it might have triggered a predator instinct.
