tried uploading a .bmp image from my desktop. my image is less than minimum (19.- or 100x100) error message that is not a proper image file.

tried using url. "Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file."

want this.

All fixed for ya. I don't think it liked the .bmp format. When I copied it to my desktop I selected .jpg format then assigned the avatar for you in the admin area :) Although its kinda scary - Coldin may want to change it to something Rainbow Bright-ish :)

allergic to cats, so i have very little experience with them

I think its getting hit with shockingly cold water and not being able to do anything about it or run away from it that makes dogs act up when being washed outside. Mine never gave me too many problems when I bathed them in my bathroom. I was just sure to use bleach afterwards all over the bathroom :cool:

Cat's generally dislike being doused in water because their fur and skin does not produce enough oil to protect them. Water soaks into their skin at a high rate, usually resulting in a very sick and miserable kitty. There's exceptions to this rule, of course, but that's the science behind a wet cat.

My family adopted a bunch of cats that no one else wanted...sick, disabled, tempermental, etc. Doesn't have too much to do with being creepy...but I can't stand seeing a house cat tossed on the street because the family couldn't afford to take him/her with them on a move. Three of the adopted cats were declawed, one has a missing eye, another is half blind...they wouldn't have survived long if we hadn't taken them in. And I just don't trust shelters to find them a good home.

So here I sit...surrounded by a bunch of pussies. :D

You sound as bad as Scaars with his multiple cats. At one time we did have 3 - two that were acquired from the same litter and the 3rd that was adopted later. Always prefer to keep them inside as well.
