Looking for Large Ingredients

Basically, I don't have enough time to collect all the large ingredients I'm going to need for my Radiance II shortsword, at least not before the end of summer. :)

So, I'm going to start this thread to see if I can trade for a few large ingredients. I might also purchase 1 or 2 for straight pp. Trade list list and required ingredients will be posted soon.


(I wonder if it's even possible to trade for large ingredients, even with +6 stat items.)

So, I'm just kinda curious. Is anyone actually willing to trade away Large Ingredients for other items? Or is even starting a trade thread like this worth it?

well .. I have 3 large ingredients, but after the fiasco last night, I don't know that I'll be in the shroud anytime soon for small, medium or large ingredients.. How about I pass them off to you and you give me all your uber lewtz (since you didn't get around to posting that trade thread :D)

I'll have my list of "lewtz" up tonight, assuming all goes well. But I'm more than willing to hand over some of my nicer things to you Eld. I even have a couple banishing shortswords. :)

Not to de-rail this thread but I've gotta ask: What happened that was so bad in the Shroud?

And Coldin, I've got a few larges and I'm looking for tome pages if you've got any laying around. We can work something out.

Well, I'd certainly be willing to trade away Tome pages for large ingredients. It's a little silly perhaps, but I really have no desire to get those specialty Orchard weapons anyway.

Last night, myself, Ringos and a couple of other GSI folks (steele, papi and andy iirc) hopped into a Wicked Shroud completion run.
We entered the first portal, laid down 1 disco ball (to minimize lag) and I ran off to pull the right side. We decided, collectively, to pull one side at a time to minimize potential lag. By the time that I have gotten up the stairs, I was starting to rubberband and by the time I got to the northern-upper portal area where there are 3-4 trogs, I was attached to industrial-strength rubberbands. Somehow, I managed to hop back down and run back to the main group. Here's where things started to get a bit strange. My screen showed me safely in the waiting disco-ball, but the trogs and orthon's all converged on a spot right in the center between portal1 and the entryway to the right-side portals. At that point, I again wasn't moving at all, but was suddenly taking damage (15-30/hit) and trying to block wasn't doing any good. Voice chatter was indicating that I was already dead but my health bar still reflected 150+ hp.
About this time, I (finally) rubberbanded back to the mass of Trogs pounding on me so I started trying to jump over them to get out -- I died about 100 feet in the air (literally - the circle of trogs pounding on me were little black blobs below me) when the game finally decided that I should jump (and probably did the jump several times without giving my avatar time to come back down.

About 90 seconds later, my soulstone appeared next to me - I was safely back on the ground (although dead of course) by this time.

In the interim between my dying and my stone appearing, we had 3-4 other deaths, a couple of disconnections and the sorc frantically shouting that he was trying to put down a DDoor -- and I don't think a single person actually moved in that entire time. Ringos mentioned later that he was spamming the Heal button and only got 1 off in the entire time (it wasn't pointed at me because I didn't get any at all)

Unless there's real confirmation from reliable sources (at this point, I don't consider a patch to be reliable information), I won't be participating in the All-Cleric raid next weekend. Nor will I be going back on any of my other characters until something changes.

Don't get me wrong - I laughed so much that I needed a tissue by the time I rezzed out, but it still wasn't fun and I don't see any reason to waste the gold repairing from another attempt anytime soon.

Unfortunately none of that is very good news to me since I'm just starting to get really serious about collecting large ingredients. :(

Hmm that sucks.

I ran it last night with the Maelstrom group and we only had the usual (pre-patch) shroud lag to contend with. Sucks that the lag shows it's fangs in there. I wouldn't give up on running it though. Just head back in and pound away at it. :eek:

I wonder if it has to do with what time it's ran at with the amount of people on the server. We ran ours at 8:15 pm est till 10:17 pm est and it was for the most part smooth.

RE Large Ingredients: I have 4 items waiting on third tier upgrades. Smalls and mediums I can trade...large though? I think a lot of people are in this boat so be prepared to trade ALL your uber lootz for larges.

RE Lag monster: I thought their latest patch was supposed to have fixed that? Reaver seemed less laggy last night.

Speaking of Reaver...if any of you were running with me last night (I know Shyv and Jules were), I apologize profusely for my incredibly drunken state. I do not usually drink that much.

No worries. i didn't even notice to be honest. But then again I'm AtD, and well we're usualy pretty lit by the evening. :D

Yeah no worries. My barb is still a few levels off from needing the tome pages yet anyway. Just wanting to get all my ducks in a row. Really going all out on this guy. He is most likely going to replace Shyv as my main.
