Keep your fingers crossed that my internet issues have been resolved. Found out today that there have been line problems in the area - that plus the static on the line I just heard about could also be causing the problem. We'll see what happens.

I love my DSL. I don't have all of those neighbors suckin' up my bandwidth! :)

(now if I could only swap out this PIII 450...)

We had cable internet and hated it and the company - Comcast - prefer dsl over Comcast any day.

I've had comcast for awhile and although the customer service is horrible, I've been pleased overall. I have 8mbit/1mbit and it's always clean and totally clear service. As far as neighbors chiming in on my bandwidth, i've never not had it all available to me when I've requested it.

As a site note: I switched to AT&T Uverse for like 3 days. It was down right terriable. the internet connection was ok. I can't speak of quality of service, however the speed was nice (10mbit package). On to the TV, oh my. HD was nasty, it might have been how far I was from the crossbox. They use a compression technique on HD service becuase of the bandwidth required. You could actually see the background of the picture pixelate as if it was moving like 4fps instead of the required 29.7fps. And also only being able to watch 1 hd channel at a time in the house is horrible.
