Recently, a few folks have expressed interest in 84's build. Since it was lost in the change to the new site, here it is in all its glory. All tomes, raid loot (except the Titan Gloves:() are already on the character.
The original build was 11ftr/3pal/2rog, but I changed my mind :)

Common wisdom says to take the first Rogue level at 1, but I felt that since there weren't a lot of skills that I needed to keep up, that I could take the rogue levels later in life when the build started to come together and not take the 1BAB hit early on. Taking rogue at 1 would have given me more skill points to put into things like Jump, tumble, balance, etc. but having them at their current levels is not the end of the world.

* Negative (Wizardry VI/+1 Int Skills) | Positive (+50Spell Points/+2 Cha Skills) | Air (+100Spell Points/+3 Cha Skills)
I went with Air at tier III because I don't see enough of a benefit in going dual-shard tier III on this item, and at the time of building the item, I would have needed more ingredients for a Pos tier III.

Pros::)

Evasion!
59 Self Buffed AC (62 if I get a Chattering Ring)
WF Immunities - saves item slots and is invaluable at the lower levels
Able to open most locks in the game
Able to intimidate every mob in the game (about 75% chance on Elite Hounds)
Only as gear intensive as you make it. None of the equipment on the build is critical to its success, they just make it work better.
5 Smite Evils that crit for ~200 damage using Exalted Smite I

Cons::(
Sub 400 hp
Lower starting strength is really felt at the lower levels.
CE and Divine Favor don't mix well - taking Extend at 18 should help that somewhat.
Will not Qualify for Knight of the Chalice II until epic levels :(

With the addition of Monks to the game, would you now go with 2 monk instead of 2 rogue?

Actually, I don't think that I would.

Replacing Rogue with Monk would take away the tower shield (even replacing it with the shield spell is a loss of 4AC). I used Wisdom as a (mostly) dump stat, so the benefit from picking up the Wisdom AC bonus is only 3. Net loss is -1 from that. Changing the Mithril Body to Composite is a loss of another 3.

All in all, dropping the other things to pick up monk levels would be too disruptive to the AC of this build, imo.

I wasn't thinking about the AC bonus from monk. More along the lines of 2 levels for evasion and 2 more feats. Granted the 2 levels of Rogue allows you to go the UMD route. But with the ability of paladins to raise dead now (or when the cap goes up if you don't have enough levels) and the ease of the shroud clickie + subtereanean token turn in it reduces the power of UMD slightly.

The other thing you'd lose by going monk is blocking DR. For end game raids, that's a big piece of being an intimitank (and on a side note, that's part of why Briz stalled)

Also, if going monk, it would be better to pick up either the TWF or THF lines .. not really sure what feats would get dropped for that ..

Half-ranks in UMD wouldn't be the end of the world - you wouldn't be able to hit Heal/Reconstruct scrolls, but you should still be able to hit a Rez in a pinch and you should be able to hit all of the equipment UMDs in the game.

How would you loose blocking DR if you went with monk?

Was talking about not having the blocking DR from a tower shield, but, I guess if you threw on a tower shield when you went to button up, you'd come out close to the same in the AC department and get that blocking DR back.

Ahhh I wasn't thinking of changing your playing style on the build at all. have the shield always equiped. Really only difference is:

Rogue = Evasion and UMD
Monk = Evasion and 2 feats

So really it is a difference of which is more important in the end. The 2 extra feats or the UMD.

Does a monk lose evasion if they have a shield? I'd have to check that out before committing to that one..

Nope, evasion is evasion regardless of the class that gives it to you. Or at least it was the last time I checked.
